The Science Behind the Method
The Dr. Liv Method brings your skincare back to what truly matters. That’s why Dr. Liv Kraemer created the 3-Level System to guide you step by step through the right actives, in the right formulation, at the right time, in the right order.
No unnecessary complexity. No confusion.
Just a precise, science-and clinical-backed method, developed by a researcher and dermatologist, with products made in Switzerland, that delivers measurable results and promotes long-term skin health.
What Is Your Skin Problem?
Honestly, at this stage it doesn't really matter. Why? Because your skin works like your muscles, it needs consistency and training. You wouldn't run a marathon without warming up first.
What Happens to Your Skin as It Ages?
As the years pass, cell turnover slows. More dead cells remain on the surface, the skin barrier becomes thinner and weaker, and external stressors (UV, pollution, oxidative stress) intensify the effect. The visible result: dryness, rough texture, dullness, larger-looking pores, and increased sensitivity. Just like muscles that weaken without training, skin without the right routine also loses strength and stability, and therefore its glow.
Why Skin Training Matters!
At around 1910, Helena Rubinstein popularized the idea of applying creams and serums on top of the skin. But these products are essentially just consistencies, more like spa care than true renewal. Today we know this is not enough. The Dr. Liv Method is built on science: actively pushing cell turnover with the right active ingredients, in the right formulation, and applied in the right order and timing. Like a training plan for your skin, it turns simple application of just few products into real transformation, from the inside and out.
Right Actives. Right Formulation. Right Order.
Train your skin like your muscles – with the Dr. Liv Method.

LEVEL I
At the beginning of every skin journey, everyone starts the same. Level I is the warm-up, just like at the gym. The Smoothing Cleanser gently removes dead skin cells in the morning and evening while stimulating cell turnover. The Overnight Smoother amplifies this effect, encouraging new cells and boosting collagen production for firmer, smoother skin.
In the morning, the allrounder, the Day Shield not only protects against UV damage but also strengthens the skin barrier with niacinamide, antioxidants and prebiotics in a hyaluronic acid base. This is the foundation of the Dr. Liv Method: training skin, not covering it.

LEVEL II
LEVEL II is weight training for your skin. In this phase, you add the Turnover Optimizer, a potent blend of retinol, retinal and bakuchiol, into your evening routine, alternating with the Overnight Smoother.
It’s not just the active ingredient that matters, but also the formulation and the right order. Use it gradually, increasing up to three evenings per week, always with intervals in between and never on the same night as the Overnight Smoother.
This step further boosts cell turnover and collagen production. Your next move against dullness, roughness, redness, early signs of aging, or even breakouts.
What The Beauty Industry Got Wrong
Forget Your Skin Type
Forget Your Skin Type
At the beginning of your skin journey, everyone starts the same, like at the gym, where every training begins with a warm-up. Age or gender don’t matter. Personalization comes later.
The idea of “skin types” (dry, oily, combination skin) was introduced by Helena Rubinstein in around 1910. But more than 100 years later, in 2025, we know better: skin biology works the same for everyone.
That’s why the Dr. Liv Method begins with Level I. Just 3 products to push cell turnover and protect skin health. Precision comes later, with tailored actives and supplements.
What really matters are the proven processes: cell renewal, collagen support, UV protection, and nutrition. At Dr. Liv Skincare, we don’t follow outdated categories, we train skin with science and dermatology.
Skin Problems Aren’t The Starting Point
Skin Problems Aren’t The Starting Point
Whether it’s pigmentation, redness, pimples or large pores, it doesn’t really matter at the beginning. Before you can target these concerns specifically, you first need to push cell turnover.
In most cases, the majority of skin problems are already resolved by using Level I and Level II of the Dr. Liv Method. Just like in at gym, you don’t start by fine tuning, you build your foundation first. Only later, in Level III, do we address what remains: with precise actives in the morning tailored to your skin’s needs, supported from the inside with supplements for the skin–gut axis.
Serum or Cream? Doesn’t Matter
Serum or Cream? Doesn’t Matter
The idea that a serum is “stronger” than a cream dates back to early skincare concepts from around 1910. But more than a century later, we know that the texture itself does not define effectiveness.
What really matters are the active ingredients and how they are formulated and delivered to the skin. A cream can be just as powerful as a serum when the actives are correctly chosen, combined, and stabilized.
That’s why in the Dr. Liv Method, we don’t overload routines with countless textures or steps. What defines results is science-backed actives, in the right formulation, in the right order. This is exactly what makes the difference, which your skin can feel from the first usage and long into the future.

SPF Is Just Referring to UVB
The sun is always shining – unless it’s night.
Many people think sunscreen is only needed at the beach. But the sun never takes a break: even in the office, at home, or in the car, its rays reach your skin.
UVA rays penetrate glass, causing pigmentation, wrinkles, and collagen loss. UVB rays cause sunburn and SPF was originally developed to block them.
But SPF alone is not enough. You need the SPF with the UVA sign to defend your skin from sunburn, premature aging, and environmental damage.
Bottom line: The sun is always there and your protection should be too.
SPF 30 vs. SPF 50 – Less Than 1% Difference in UVB
SPF only measures UVB, the rays that burn your skin. SPF 30 blocks about 97%, SPF 50 about 98% of UVB, less than 1% difference. What SPF doesn’t measure is UVA, the rays that age your skin by breaking down collagen and causing pigmentation. That’s why the number alone is misleading. Look for the UVA logo!
The Dr. Liv UV Day Shield
The UV Day Shield is Dr. Liv’s essential daily defense: SPF 30 + high UVA, in a light hyaluronic base with antioxidants, niacinamide, and prebiotics. It protects against sun, pollution, and aging – the foundation of every Level in the Dr. Liv Method. “The shield your skin can’t live without.”

Your Skin Is The Dashboard of Your Health
