How to use

1. Wash your face (morning):
Use two pumps of the Smoothing Cleanser wash foam and spread evenly on your face (after removing make-up, if applicable). Let sit for 1-2 minutes and wash off with lukewarm water, drying your face gently with a clean towel.

2. Apply sun protection (morning):
Each day, apply 2 fingers worth of the Day Shield on your face and neck to protect your skin from UV damage.

3. Cleanse your face (evening):
After a long day, cleanse your face with the Smoothing Cleanser to prepare for the treat step.

4. Apply the overnight smoother (evening):
Apply 2-3 drops of the Overnight Smoother on your cleansed and dry face and spread evenly.

Also known as fruitacids (glycolic acid, lactic acid) are great for smoothing out skin’s surface and giving a healthy glow (anti-aging, anti-acne).

Glycolic acid and ascorbic acid remove dead skin cells, which promotes the creation of new ones for a radiant, healthy complexion.

BHA (Beta hydroxy acid)

While the Smoothing Cleanser effectively cleanses your skin, it's important to note that it is not meant to be used instead of makeup remover. If you've been wearing makeup throughout the day, it's essential to use a dedicated makeup remover before you begin with your skincare routine and apply our Smoothing Cleanser. This ensures thorough removal of make-up residue and other impurities, allowing your skin to be completely free from any dirt or buildup.

Why does my skin suddenly break out after using the Smoothing Cleanser?

It's quite common to experience this phenomenon, so there's no need to be alarmed. When you begin your skincare journey with our Smoothing Cleanser, your skin will be exposed to active ingredients that stimulate skin cell turnover. It can happen that you experience a temporary breakout, as skin cell turnover accelerates and impurities come to the surface. Typically, after about two weeks (varying from person to person), these initial breakouts should subside, and you'll begin to notice positive changes in your skin's appearance.

Is the Smoothing Cleanser safe to use during pregnancy?

We generally advise our clients not to use any products containing active ingredients during pregnancy and breastfeeding. Since the Smoothing Cleanser contains active ingredients such as AHA and BHA, it is not recommended for use during pregnancy. Always consult your medical professional if you have any further questions.

Can I use the Overnight Smoother also in the morning for a stronger effect?

No, we do not recommend using the Overnight Smoother in the morning as well. Due to its higher fruit acid content, the Overnight Smoother can make the the skin increasingly sentitive to sun damage. For this reason, it's advised to use the Overnight Smoother only once a day before bedtime, as the skin is not exposed to direct sunlight. Please be aware that the Overnight Smoother is already formulated with the appropriate dosage. Using it more frequently than recommended won't yield additional effects and may actually harm your skin. Always wear SPF when using skincare with active ingredients.

Can I use the Overnight Smoother with dry skin?

Yes, the Overnight Smoother can be applied to dry skin. The Overnight Smoother boosts cell turnover, which aids to gently remove dead skin cells (dry skin), leaving you with more vivid skin. However, if you find that your skin is feeling excessively dry, you can use the Biome Barrier to help alleviate this sensation.

Is the Overnight Smoother safe to use during pregnancy?

Sure, it is a super light weighted gel. It is perfectly suitable for acne-prone and sensitive skin.

Why does the Day Shield only use SPF 30 and not SPF 50? And why does the Day Shield also block UVA?

The Day Shield uses SPF 30 and high UVA protection to effectively block both UVA and UVB rays, as SPF 30 blocks approximately 97% of these rays. While SPF 50 offers slightly higher protection, blocking around 98% of rays, the difference in efficiency is marginal. By shielding against both UVA and UVB rays, the Day Shield not only safeguards against sunburn and skin cancer (caused by UVB rays) but also combats premature aging (caused by UVA rays).

Is the Day Shield “clean”?

The term “clean” is an arbitrary marketing term that carries very little actual significance, especially in the EU/Swiss region where regulations regarding skincare ingredients are of the highest standard worldwide.
