FAQ
What is the Blemish Control Booster and how does it work?
What is the Blemish Control Booster and how does it work?
The Blemish Control Booster is a dermatologist-developed precision serum for breakout-prone, reactive, or congested skin.
Formulated with azelaic acid, niacinamide, salicylic & glycolic acid, panthenol, glycerin, and licorice root extract in a hyaluronic acid base, it clears pores, calms inflammation, fades marks, and restores visibly healthy, refined skin.
It’s not a starting point, it unfolds its full potential only after LEVEL I and LEVEL II, when your skin is trained, stable, and ready for targeted performance.
How does it fit into the Dr. Liv Method?
How does it fit into the Dr. Liv Method?
The Blemish Control Booster is part of LEVEL III – Personalization for the morning.
Once your skin is trained through LEVEL I (Warm-Up) and LEVEL II (Active Training), it’s ready for this precision step.
From the outside, it clears pores, calms inflammation, and fades marks; from the inside, the Clear Supplement supports detoxification and barrier resilience.
Together, they deliver a full inside–out approach to clear, calm, and lasting skin longevity.
When and how should I use the Blemish Control Booster?
When and how should I use the Blemish Control Booster?
Apply in the evening, after your skin has completed LEVEL I (Warm-Up) and LEVEL II (Turnover) phases.
Use over the full face in the morning after washing your face with the Smoothing Cleanser.
Always use the Day Shield on top.
For best results, combine with the Dr. Liv Clear Tablets - working from the inside to reduce inflammation and support microbiome balance.
Always remember: less is more, and trained skin performs best.
Which ingredients make it so effective?
Which ingredients make it so effective?
Each ingredient works synergistically to rebalance and renew:
Azelaic Acid: Calms inflammation and regulates cell turnover.
Salicylic & Glycolic Acids: Keep pores clear and stimulate renewal without irritation.
Niacinamide: Strengthens the barrier and helps even the skin tone.
Licorice Root Extract: Reduces pimple marks and brightens the complexion.
Panthenol & Glycerin: Provide comfort and hydration during the active phase.
All embedded in a hyaluronic acid base for a light, non-sticky feel.
Can I use the Blemish Control if I do not have pimples?
Can I use the Blemish Control if I do not have pimples?
Yes, you can - as both BHA and azelaic acid have powerful properties that help with skin cell turnover and overall improvement of skin health. However, if you do not struggle with pimples, large pores or blackheads, it is likely that a routine containing the Smoothing Cleanser, the Overnight Smoother and the Day Shield will be enough to meet your skin's needs.
Who is the Blemish Control for?
Who is the Blemish Control for?
The Blemish Control Booster Serum was developed specifically those struggling with acne-prone skin including pimples, blackheads and large pores. Its full potency is achieved when used in combination with a skin cell turnover-boosting routine, the Dr. Liv LEVEL II.
Can I use the Blemish Control if I am pregnant or breastfeeding?
Can I use the Blemish Control if I am pregnant or breastfeeding?
As a general rule, we do not recommend using active ingredients (including BHA and azelaic acid) during pregnancy and breastfeeding. You can always ask your doctor for more information.
My teenager struggles with pimples - is this product suitable for them?
My teenager struggles with pimples - is this product suitable for them?
Less is more when it comes to teenage skin. If your teenager struggles with pimples, we recommend starting with a consistent routine using our gentle Smoothing Cleanser (also containing BHA) and oil-free SPF. Over time, you could also integrate the Overnight Smoother and only then the Blemish Control. You can always ask your dermatologist for further recommendations.
